SSS Phone No. or SSS Hotline is Now a 24-Hour Call Center Service

By KD
Updated February 27, 2013:

Now you can call SSS in the early evening, late evening, late night, midnight, or at dawn! The new SSS hotline is now a 24-hour call center service, from Monday to Friday.

The 24-hour SSS phone numbers are:

920-6446 to 55

Available from Monday to Friday, from 7 am to 7 pm the next day

I called SSS one night, when the previous 16-hour service was launched, and somebody picked my call immediately. The SSS customer service officer was obviously already tired, and was grumpy, but later on, she tried her best to sound pleasant.

To maximize the time with the SSS officer, be ready with your SSS number. The officer wants to be accurate with her answer, so she wants to access your SSS records before she gives a response.

Be ready also with your question. Your question should be clear. What do you really want to know? Before you call, write data, numbers or information so you can give correct data immediately.

You can also use other SSS communication systems for members' inquiries:

  2. edward dela cruz: Hired Feb 3, 2014. Online account shows employer name. No posted contribution. what should I do?

Hi edward, ask your HR why your contributions are not yet appearing on your online account. Reasons for delayed posting could be late submission of collection lists (Employers submit collection lists quarterly) and the recent change from paper submission to electronic submission of collection lists.

  3. Hi anthonydenmark, if you're employed, your check will be delivered to your employer's address. If you're voluntary, and if you like, you can check with your local post office (registered mail section) if your SSS mail is already there with them. Sometimes it takes 2 weeks to 1 month or more. Bring your IDs.

  8. Hi Michael, did you ask your HR if they're going to give you the other half of your benefit after you sign the document or after they get their reimbursement or the next pay day? Yes, there's that SSS rule that you mentioned, and employers should comply with rules, but I think it's better to have a negotiating stance rather than have a fighter stance. But of course, this is only my opinion, it all depends on you because it's you who know how your company is dealing with its employees. If you decide to go to Dole or file a lawsuit, then prepare for the costs (money and time) and possible alienation and harassment from your employer.

  9. Cj Arada: Can we file for funeral claim? My father was able to pay only 1 contribution because of a problem with his SSS. Thanks.

Hi Cj Arada, if your father has a Date of Coverage, or if your father registered with SSS correctly, or if he was employed when his single contribution was paid, then you can file your funeral claim. Go to the nearest SSS and ask, together with your father's death certificate, your birth certificate (to prove relationship) and ID.

  10. Hello Kaydee,

I filed for SSS loan and was approved August 8th. Until now hindi pa delivered yung check. I am employed, wala pa na rereceive yung company ko and i'm on my third week already hoping that it will be delivered soon. Is this normal? Where and how can I trace where the check is?

  11. Hi MaybeMe, last year, salary loan checks were usually delivered within 10 days to 2 weeks. Deliveries are taking a longer time now. You can go to the post office in your employer's area (registered mail section) with your ID and ask if you have a registered mail from SSS.

  12. Nikkie Molano: Hello, can I avail of maternity benefit? My contributions were from Feb 2014 to May 2014. My due is October. Thanks.

Hi Nikkie, if these contributions were remitted through your former employer, or were paid after registering properly, yes, you can avail. File your MAT1 asap.

  13. Rosemarie Guittu Sept 1 2014:
I'd like to know if my father has some benefits to claim from SSS even if he did not continue paying his contributions for a long time. He's 62 now.
We inquired at SSS, and we discovered that his name and birthdate with SSS is different from his name declared on his Birth certificate. Example: his name on his Birth certificate is Juan Guittu born April 28, 1952 but his name and B-day declared on SSS is Johnny Guittu born April 1, 1952.
What should we do? Appreciate your immediate response regarding this queries.

Hi Rosemarie, if your father contributed through his past employer or if he registered correctly as self-employed, and contributed to SSS, then he can get a lump sum or pension, depending on the number of contributions.

About the difference in name and birth date, you need to submit an Affidavit of Discrepancy and Joint Affidavit of Two Disinterested Persons.

There are samples of discrepancy affidavits on the Internet that you can copy. I'm just wondering because I can't find a sample of an affidavit mentioning discrepancy in both name and birth date.
Does your father have other documents in which his name and birth date are the same with the name and birth date with SSS? Like his senior citizen ID. The SSS needs to be know that the SSS
member is really your father and not someone else.

  16. Good day.

I filed my MAT 1 w/ my employer on December 2013 since my scheduled date of delivery was Apr. 24, 2014. But on Feb. 21, 2014, i resigned due to my pregnancy condition. I gave birth thru CS on the exact delivery date but sad to say, my child was still-borne. After I gave birth, I was bed-ridden for almost 3 months and couldn't walk at all and just recovered recently.

I filed and submitted my MAT 2 w/ all the necessary documents on Aug. 27, 2014 in SSS Ayala branch and updated my last name from BULATAO to MUÑOZ since I got married recently. My problem is, on the MAT 2 document, it says there that it should be filed 60 days from the date of delivery or else, I won't be entitled to it. But that would be impossible on my case since I could not walk after the delivery. When I went to SSS Ayala to ask if I am still entitled to it, the rep I spoke to said YES and since I have the complete documents, I should file it in their branch instead as I'm planning to file it in SSS Dagupan w/c is the nearest branch to us. I also asked if I should change my status from EMPLOYED to SEPARATED since I resigned from my company before I gave birth and he said that it's fine even if I don't change it. He gave me the MAT 2 stub and said that it will take 2-3 weeks to be processed but when I checked my SSS online, it says there that I am NOT qualified for maternity benefit and now I'm worried since my status there shows that I'm still employed.

What should I do so I can get my reimbursement as I badly need it to pay our debts when I gave birth.
Hoping for your soonest reply. Thanks.

  17. Hi Mark, what I know is that they have not yet started that kind of bank deposit program, although this choice is in the loan form. What they have started is the Citibank Visa prepaid program and they have pioneered it at SSS Makati and Diliman only. Members applying at these branches are advised to apply for the Citibank card.
So it's more likely that your check will be delivered to your address.
But of course, if you're employed, and bank deposit is what your employer advised you, then I must have missed the new circular about this bank deposit program.

  18. Hi Rosemarie, the birthdate, April 1, 1952 matches the birthdate with SSS, so that's a good thing. But find another document with the name Johnny Guittu, such as previous company IDs or old documents. SSS will wonder why "Johnny" was used with SSS when the name "Juan" is the one used by your father. But present a paper with your father's info: SSS no., birthplace, address, employment history, names of parents and dependents (if there are), and if these are the same with that of Johnny Guittu's records with SSS, then SSS should consider your claim, after you submit the needed affidavits.

  19. Hi Eve Warr, there are 2 discrepancies in your filing: your member status and your surname. Check from time to time your online account, and check if the "Denied" status remains, as you wait for your documents to be returned to your address.
Meanwhile, get cert of separation with date of separation, cert of non-advancement of maternity benefit, and L501 from your former employer. You need to submit these because your dates of separation and delivery are within 6 months of each other.
when you re-submit, make sure that your surname in your MAT2 is the same as your surname in your online SSS account. Check Separated. But if you have continued contributing, check voluntary (See if your online status is Voluntary).
I wonder why the response to your claim is "NOT qualified". Have you paid at least 3 contributions within Jan to Dec 2013? Usually the response if rejected is "Denied".

Hi may i ask if I can still get pension from my mother's membership. 17 to 21 years old, my pension stopped. Worked at age 17, but that was for only 1 year. Never worked after that.

Hi Lhen, sorry I haven't read of a case like yours. You can go to your SSS branch with your ID and and ask if you can file again for your back pension for age 18 to 20.9, the years that you were unemployed.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Hi Aizza, you can go to your online SSS account and then print your loan balance details, and then submit it to your HR for payroll deduction. They may require you to write an authorization to deduct.
There's no new condonation program yet (the last one was in 2012), and I don't know if they're going to launch this year or next year. It's better to pay now since it's only last year that you stopped paying.

Hello! My father submitted requirements and affidavit at the SSS branch in our province. We came to know that my father's previous employer remitted payments for only 24 months. SSS said they cannot retrieve the no. of years the company did not remit because the company has changed its name. What should my father file? Can he get something from SSS? Hope for your immediate advice regarding this.

Hi Rosemarie, it's sad to know your father's situation. Is your father 60 years old or more? He can still file for his claim, but he will not get pension because his contributions did not reach 120 contributions. He'll get a lump sum (total of 24 contributions plus dividends). If you like, you can ask SSS if in the future, you can still claim for funeral benefit even if your father gets the lump sum now.

Hi! I got my E1 in 2012 but I have not made contributions until now. I'm thinking of becoming voluntary. what should I do?

Hi justin, you cannot be a Voluntary immediately. Voluntary members are those that were previously employed, OFW or self-employed. You must first
    register as self-employed
    .

    ReplyDelete
  53. Hi ronald28, you can register at sss.gov.ph so you can check if your employer is remitting your contributions. To register, you need to write your employer's SSS no. so ask your HR about your employer's SSS no. If you can't register, you can visit any SSS branch with your ID and verify your contributions.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Hi maria theresa, have you received your new loan check? Is your overpayment added to the amount?
How about your online SSS account? What does it show about your loan balance? Is there overpayment there?
SSS stated in the loan form that any overpayment will be used as payment for the next loan.
After receiving your new loan check, and if your overpayment was not returned, bring copies of your loan vouchers and payment receipts with your ID to SSS and ask if you can use your overpayment to pay for your first monthly payments.

About phones and email, it's really frustrating that all the communication systems of SSS are not working well. So the last remedy is to go to the branch with your ID and make inquiries.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Hi jay, yes, you can file a complaint with SSS through an Affidavit, proof of employment, paylips with SSS deductions, etc. When you decide to complain, you must be ready about the possibility of getting harassed by your employer. So if possible, resolve this first within the company. Do you mean that since Oct 2013, your company has not remitted your contributions? If yes, all employees should be complaining to your employer. There's power in number. Do your co-employees know if their contributions are being remitted? Ask your HR if you can see your SSS collection lists and SBR receipts. You should see your name in the collection lists, amounts and dates. The SBR shows payments for all employees listed in the collection lists.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Addition for jay:
Collection lists and SBRs are now submitted online only.
And it's true that the SSS website has been undergoing changes over the past months and has not been functioning fully for these past months. The new website has been launched, but it still has glitches.

Also, I have another concern. I recently resigned last Sept 15, 2014 and I was advised that the company has the option to hold my SSS Sickness Notification Benefit because of the bond. It is a call center company and we have a bond that we need to settle in case we resigned w/in 1 year. So, is it possible for them to hold my benefit?

Will the posted Date of coverage be honored if there has been no contribution at that date and it was only after several years that the member paid monthly contributions? I want to pay for my papa whose date of coverage is 1996 but did not pay contributions.

Hi James, that date will remain your father's date of contribution. No, you can no longer pay contributions for past years. There are deadlines for paying contributions. Your father can continue paying for this month or this quarter (Oct to Dec 2014).

  64. I tried to log in to the site many times but it wont let me.. im trying to get my static info for employment purpose... what to do? Ive given all the details theyve asked for and still no access...

    ReplyDelete
  65. Hi Quim-el, if your balance is more than 50%, then wait until your recent payment is posted and deducted and your balance becomes lower than 50%. You can see your loan check date in your list of loans, so you can see if 1 year has passed since your loan check date. You can renew your loan after you have paid more than 50% and 1 year has passed.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Hi Myriel, employers remit total employee contributions every month through the banks (no employee names, only company name), and they submit the collection list (where employee names appear) every quarter. This means that you will wait for months before you can see your recent contributions posted online.
For Individual Payors, posting is faster, from 1 to 3 days.

  72. Hi Ramir, it's not automatic that your new employer will deduct your loan amortization and remit it to SSS. You need to print your loan balance through your online SSS account, or you can go to SSS and ask for a printout of your loan balance, and then submit this to your HR/accounting and request them to deduct monthly your amortization and remit it to SSS.

But all of my payments are being credited on the old loan (October 2011 | Check No: 18880153) and the latest one (July 2013 |Check number: 21507229) which I’m supposed to renew is still (0.00) balance. I already went to SSS Angeles Branch twice (August and October of this year) to ask for assistance but still the status was not updated. Our HR personnel already provided the needed documents one day in October but still no update. Please help me on this.

  75. Hi Pisces, what documents did your employer provide? Did they submit a request for posting including copies of all RS5 forms and loan collection lists that contain your loan payments? Do they have an acknowledgment stub? or a copy of the request with SSS stamp? If yes, then I think you have to wait some more.

    ReplyDelete
  76. yes, as per our HR all the documents have been submitted and we received the acknowledgment stub. How much longer do i have to wait. It has been 5 months already since this issue was brought up to SSS

    ReplyDelete
  77. Hi Mr. Pisces, you said the required documents were filed in October, so based on what I've learned from comments, count from October. I don't know really how SSS employees are doing things. But their website and online record system have been on an updating process for many months now, so this might be affecting corrections and posting.

I just want to ask if how long will it take para ma released any lump sum ng mother ko. She just passed by last July 9 2014, 'GLYNETTE PESTAÑO TEOGANGCO' po any name nangany mother ko.

And mag kaiba po back any lump sum at monthly pension??? May benefits po bang makukuha ang mga kapatid ko ages 4 at 16 also my father monthly ????

My mother is a member in sss more than 15 years but not higher than 20 years .

    THANK YOU

  82. Hello! are you still giving attention with our complaints?

    ReplyDelete
  83. Hi Ashie, you can go to the Iba branch where you filed your claim and ask. Processing time varies, depending on the status or completeness of members' records.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Hi jaybee teogangco, have your father filed his funeral and pension claims?
Your father and your 2 siblings (under age 21) will get pensions. Pension is given monthly through atm. If your father wants to receive in advance his 18 months of pension, he can check that option in the claim form, so his pension for 18 months will be given to him in advance (in lump sum). The funeral benefit is given through a check.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Hi TheSniperfoxx, sorry I think they will not look for your record because they don't have the time to dig through vast data/documents, based on past experiences. They'll just tell you to wait for the regular posting. Present to them a written request and a copy of your company's RS5 receipt and corresponding collection list that includes your name, sss no. and amount paid.

HY JK. Good day and thank you for your reply. Just want to ask how many months do we wait for pension? SSS CEBU told us 3 months but its been 5 months. Can I follow up for my father? THANK YOU
    ANSWER:
Hi jaybee teogangco , you can follow-up with your ID, your father's authorization letter and claim slip.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Hi Mr. Pisces, are you employed? Posting of loan payments takes time because companies submit the collection list (where employee names and SSS nos. are written) every quarter, although they remit the payments every month.
If it's been too long, you can ask your company to give you a copy of the RS5 form and the corresponding collection list and then make your request for posting at your SSS branch using those documents.

  96. i wife receive initial retirement 2011 pension then no monthly pension from then i followed it up till now but to no avail

    ReplyDelete
  97. Hi Gener, did your wife contribute at least 120 monthly contributions to SSS? If your wife had less than 120 contributions, then it's most likely that your wife received a lump sum in 2011 and there was no pension.
But if she contributed more than 120, I'm puzzled that it stopped. Did she work again? Pensioners aged 60 to 65 should not get employed if they want to get their pensions. After age 65, they can work again.
Or did she submit the Annual Confirmation of Pensioner's form yearly, within 30 days before her birth month?

Also checked it thru the postal office here but they said they dont have my check. How can i track my check? Its already january 2015. My officemates already received theirs where in fact i applied earlier than them. Your hotline numbers cannot be reached!!!

    ReplyDelete
  101. Hi Jeane, if your previous contributions were remitted to SSS, then these contributions are with SSS under your name. You can continue paying this month at Bayad Center, and after 3 to 5 days (after posting), register at sss.gov.ph so you can check your SSS records. Check if you have a Date of Coverage. Your Date of Coverage means your SSS membership is valid.
Another option is to go to the nearest SSS branch with your ID and verify your previous contributions, and then pay your contribution.

Hi ms, how can I retrieve my SSS online account because the data I used for registration is already inactive. same with my SSS account I forgot, I want to update my account so I can check if my contributions are updated and I can apply for a loan. As for my previous employer, my contributions should be posted this month for my balance with sss. thanks

If you meant you forgot your SSS no., you should go to SSS with your ID and verify your SSS no. and contributions.
About your online login details, you should call SSS, but based on comments on our blogs, the SSS hotline is always busy. So it would be better to go to the nearest SSS branch with your ID and ask.

hi! I pay my monthly contribution since august 2010 pero as per sss staff I have no date of coverage. I paid 2010-2011. what's the fast process that I can do?
    ANSWER:
Hi Florence, do you mean you were not employed before August 2010? If not employed before Aug 2010, and if you did not file an RS1 form with SSS before you started paying in 2010, register as self-employed. After your RS1 is approved, you can start paying. It means you're starting as a new member.
Then write a letter to SSS requesting SSS to refund to you all the contributions you paid from Aug 2010 to 2011 because you did not know you have to register as self-employed before paying. List your payment data: date paid, amount paid, applicable month and receipt no. Attach xerox copies of all receipts.

  117. QUESTION from Yumiyhel Mojica Feb 8, 2015
Hi. Just want to ask about Educational loan. Does this still exist? I went to SSS branch and was told they don't have updates. It's been 2 years when this was launched if Im not mistaken. Is this annual only? What's the process?
    ANSWER:
Hi Yumiyhel, sad to say, the fund for this educational loan program was allocated quickly. So there's no more fund for new applicants. As of now, the program is not accepting new applications. The $7 billion fund was fully allocated for the 4-year or 5-year education of the first 56,000 (not sure now if it reached 60,000) members who applied for the loan. Unless there's additional funding, it could be years before new applications are accepted.

Employers remit total employee payments to SSS every month, but they file their collection list (where employee names and number appear) every quarter, so posting is delayed. Wait for your payments to be posted before filing your loan.

Hi. Is it possible for me to claim my sss loan check at the post office? It's been a long time. It's my company that processed my loan. What requirements do they require at the post post office? Thank you
    ANSWER:
Hi Ezra, is your loan already approved? Have you checked your online SSS account? Yes, you can claim at the post office. Go to the registered mail section. Bring valid IDs and proof of address, if you have, like Meralco bill, etc. But some postmen are strict and they release only the registered mail at your home address.

Hi, my husband has an unpaid loan since 2001, however he has not paid it. We're willing to pay it and continue his contributions as self-employed. What should we do in this situation? thank you
    ANSWER:
Hi MelRap, your husband can pay any amount every month to reduce his loan. If bigger payment, the better. Keep your receipts. He can continue paying his contributions as Voluntary. How much? what was his last salary credit? Check the SSS table of contributions. You can pay the same as before, or you can increase by 2 levels. If you like to increase your contributions, increase by up to 2 levels only from month to month. After your payment is posted (after 1 to 3 weeks), register at sss.gov.ph so you can check your loan balance and other records.

Then i have also an outstanding salary but they said that they will not given it to me. Thanks. Kindly gave us your idea on this

    ReplyDelete
  129. Hi joanfhel, do you mean you have received your SSS loan money? If yes, you can talk with your former company and request them not to deduct your full SSS loan from your last salary. But if they insist on deducting, it's their right. SSS has instructed companies to deduct the SSS loan balance of employees leaving the company from their last salaries. If your company makes the deduction, make sure to have proof of their deduction, so you have proof that you have paid off your loan through your company. Later on, verify with SSS if your loan payment was remitted and posted.

Gud am. How can I get a copy of my father's E4. I need it to fix my birth certificate. Thanks
    ANSWER:
Hi Ariane, it will take a very long time for SSS to look for your father's actual E4 among SSS' millions of documents. Even for pension claims, there are lots of backlogs because of the difficulty of accessing actual documents or hard copies needed for processing.
You can write a letter to SSS to request a copy of your father's online member data.
Ask NSO or you local civil registrar for another way to fix your birth certificate, like joint affidavits or other certificates.

I just want her to have her SSS contribution because she needs it in the future. if you can email me, please do. ghelmae11@gmail.com Thanks, Angel
    ANSWER:
Hi Angel Mae, sorry no. Your employer cannot make deductions and remittances for your mother, as she is not an employee of your company. It would be a violation of the SSS law. But you can help your mother become an SSS member. She needs to register as self-employed. She needs to show proof of her source of income, like selling goods. This is how to register to become a self-employed member.

Ms, I have been working for more than 1 year. I haven't applied for a loan. I filled up a form to apply for a loan, but my employer refused to sign the form because according to them, I'm always late. Is there a connection between going to work late and SSS loan application? Isn't it that it's our right because we worked hard for our contributions? What should I do? send may email maui_angel2000@yahoo.com
    ANSWER:
Hi Julius, you cannot yet apply for an SSS loan. You need to have at least 36 posted monthly contributions before you can apply for a loan. I'm surprised that your employer did not tell you that you need to accumulate 36 contributions.
You can visit the nearest SSS with your ID and verify if your employer is really remitting your contributions to SSS.

  156. Hi,
I need help. It's been awhile since I last logged in to my SSS online account. I can't seem to login using my old credentials like email, username and password. I even found a email from my last password reset, tried to login using them but it's not letting me do so. I even tried "forgot password" using my login username but it's still not letting me login. I tried re-registering but to success. I need help to access it or atleast allow me to create a new account.

    Thanks in advance

  165. Question from Fat Hernandez Jun 10, 2015
Hi, Good morning, I wish to clarify about my status. I paid 1 monthly contribution through my previous company, then after I had online job up to now and i think this one will last -- Online job (Odesk). Is my category as "SELF employed" for my monthly contribution correct? It's been almost 1 year that I've been paying or should it be "VOLUNTARY member"? Please reply. They're not responding to my calls and emails :(
    ANSWER:
Hi Fat , the fastest way is to go to the nearest SSS branch and verify your contributions and member status. Just bring your IDs and fill up the verification slip from the guard or frontdesk clerk. If you were reported to SSS by your previous employer, and your first contribution was remitted by your employer, then your status now should be Voluntary.
If you were not reported, and you do not have a Date of Coverage, then you need to register as self-employed using RS1 form. Provide proof of source of income like receipts of remittance/payment from your online work.
Another option is to register at sss.gov.ph to get your online SSS account, so you see your SSS data.

  170. QUESTION from Erika Jun 18, 2015
Hi there! I just viewed my SSS online contribution last Thursday June 11. And it showed there that I don't have contributions from October to December 2014. But this year is updated. Now I ask my employer about this, and he/she showed me it was already paid. Why is the online contribution not updated? Thanks for replying.
    ANSWER:
, request your employer to give you a copy of the Oct to Dec 2014 OR and collection list, then write a letter to SSS requesting them to post your Oct to Dec 2014 contributions. Xerox your letter, OR and collection list and have them Stamped-Received by SSS.

  172. My husband is a member of SSS when he was stil single as he worked in a company here in Cebu. Now, I want to continue his SSS contributions, but his SSS I.D. was lost & he couldn't remember his SSS number. How can we get or find his SSS number?

    ReplyDelete
  173. About forgotten SSS No.: Your husband can go to SSS with any of his valid photo IDs and verify his SSS no. Usually there's a verification or query slip to fill up. Ask the guard or the frontdesk officer. If your husband is abroad, ask your husband to email you his authorization letter and attach a scan or photograph of his ID or passport, so you can print these and go to SSS and make inquiry.

  176. Hi JK,

I have an inquiry regarding my maternity benefit. My employer is unfortunately not enrolled in the SMB Bank Payment program of SSS, the boss declines to sign the enrollment papers (as per Admin) because I was already pregnant even before I worked for the company. I think he just said that because they didn't want to advance the payment for my maternity benefit (I found out I was pregnant on my 20th wk).

Can I file MAT-1 myself even though I am employed? If yes, maadvance ba yung payment or magiging katulad sya ng processing ng mga voluntary/ separated member? Mejo anxious kasi ako, 26wks na ko preggy pero di pa naffile ang MAT-1 ko. I hope you could help me with this, thanks in advance!

    -K

    ReplyDelete
  177. Hi scarsenstars, you're employed, so you must file your MAT-1 through your employer, either online (through the employer's online account), or over the counter. You can fill up MAT-1, then present it to your HR, together with your ultrasound report or pregnancy certification, then have them sign your MAT-1. Your employer should be the one filing your MAT-1 with SSS, but ask them if they want you to submit it yourself to SSS. You can do the filing, as long as they've signed your MAT-1.
About the SMB program, I think this has become a mandatory program, but I'm not very sure -- your employer should file their enrollment form for the benefit of all their employees. Anyway, what's important now is you're able to file your MAT1 as employed member.

  184. Hi michelle pantoja, if it was just delivered today or yesterday or a few days ago, try catching up with your ID at your local post office. Maybe it's still there, and was not yet returned. Then if already returned, ask the postman if they returned it to Diliman SSS or to the nearest SSS branch. The last time I heard, the local post office usually returns unclaimed SSS IDs to the local SSS branch (SSS branch nearest the local post office), then after a month that the IDs are not yet claimed, they are returned to SSS Diliman. Bring your IDs and your acknowledgment stub, or date of application.

  186. QUESTION from Maribeth D Jul 4, 2015
Hi SSS, May 16 I realized I'm pregnant. After 2 weeks I needed to have D&C, I wasn't able to file mat 1 because the school was on vacation. This july 3, it's already 1 month. Can I claim for maternity benefits from sss if I fix my documents? Thanks
    ANSWER:
Hi Maribeth, to qualify, if you had your D&C in June, you should have paid 3 contributions or more within Jan to Dec 2014. If you had D&C, you should have your D&C report and histopathology report. About MAT1, when you file your MAT2 documents, you can attach to filled-up-MAT1 your letter to SSS explaining that you were about to file your MAT1 when you had to have a D&C.
